Hopkins and Temple Valleys

 

HOPKINS VALLEY: *** Easy flats to halfway from Dodger hut to Erceg hut, then becoming significantly more rough with boulder hopping. Tiny but nice 4 bunk huts, with increasingly spectacular setting when getting higher and deeper into the valley. Beautiful day walks from every hut, exploring side valleys (North Elcho, Thomson, Richardson Glacier).
NORTH AND SOUTH TEMPLE VALLEYS: **** Islands of beautiful native forest and flora in a quiet area.
