MILFORD:** Reservation mandatory, leave at the same time as 79 other walkers, with luck you go over Mac Kinnon pass on a nice day and get splendid views.

ROUTEBURN: ** Easy, good views and becoming more and more popular. Huts were often very overcrowded, until mandatory reservation and a $30 hut fee brought some order in the attendance. Start from Glenorchy or Te Anau, Described in Aspiring section.
