A fair proportion of tracks in the forest parks have been initially cut by gold diggers during the rush.

CROESUS KNOB: ** Going past some interesting sites of gold digging times, view on the main divide from the excellent Cess Clark Hut on top, side trip to Croesus knob with its many kinds of mountain daisies (we counted 12 types), back to Blackball the same way for a drink at the famous Hilton.
